update on my recovery approaching the one year anniversary

this has been an unusually good week for me in many ways I am starting to feel healthier and stronger and more physically like my old self.

One of the things that has been really nice this week or these past couple of weeks is I have been completing projects that I started before the injury and then just never quite got to complete it.

I don’t even remember when I started building the wood rack it was sometime late covid or past covid but probably within about a year of the injury. Part of the thing is that my initial design of the wood rack just wasn’t going to be adequate it wouldn’t have lasted and it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do about that so if you look at the picture you can see what I did was slapped on a bunch of additional 2×4 you can still see where the old one by three is and then and then just made the whole thing a lot more secure feels really good to get that done.

the sound system in the workout cave. Is a slightly different story that was definitely early covid about the time that I bought the actual gym equipment for the workout Kate I bought this speaker set with a subwoofer from Costco and it’s been sitting in its box unopened easily for the past 3 years well I tried to figure out how I was going to run the wires and hang the speakers the speakers.

yesterday I took it out of the box hooked it up so that I can see what I was dealing with found that I had already brought brackets for shelving cut another couple of pieces of plywood put it up and it all works great

I know I still have more strengthening to do my endurance isn’t really that good yet today we walked a dog that we are pet sitting we walk the dog about four miles and at the end of three miles my ankle was starting to get fairly sore my back does get out my time to give out my back gets sore my ankle gets very sore if I’m working on it for a long time and my stamina is nowhere near as good as it was my legs get tired a lot easier I am going to discharge myself from the physical therapist and I am going to make an appointment with my primary care physician
